dbdesc is a powerful tool to help you document your data banks. It can produce detailed documents that reveal your data banks.

As dbdesc, you are not locked into a specified output format or its appearance is fixed, you are not in control. dbdesc uses XSLT models to transform an XML file that contains a description of your database to obtain a final document. Sample XSLT models are included to obtain HTML, RTF and Word 2003 files.

Now the dbdesc includes an integrated report mechanism and a report display to easily navigate the data bank documentation. This report can be exported to PDF.

dbdesc was designed to be integrated into your construction process (it can be started from the command line) to ensure that the documentation of your data bank is always up to date.
